Drawing and animating this commercial took over 60 hours to complete. Each animation cell was hand drawn in and consisted of three layers per frame; sketch, ink and coloring. Every static image was traced 6 times to give each image a "wiggle" effect.
Animating the Cloud Heating and Air company van had several layers in its creation. First, the van was designed in 3D Studio Max as a poorly shaped "box" outline. Once animated flying back and forth, each wire-frame was traced and colored.
Once completed, each animation cell was composited in the world, also hand drawn. Each cell was then animated to the prerecorded voice over.
